Here’s
some interesting footage.
Moira Mann gave us permission to show this clip on our web-site.
The video is from the new release from Fresh Fishing, The Return of
The Carp.
The Clip shows our very own Simon Scott carrying out tank tests
on various baits.
If you purchase the DVD you can see that the carp are not
hugely receptive to the baits on offer, that is until Simon nips back to
his car and grabs some ever faithful Atlantic Heat. The Heat was
then placed in the tank along with Halibut pellets to gage a reaction.
As you can see from the clip, the carp are hitting and knocking the
Atlantic Heat everywhere!
This wasn't a surprise to us as we have carried out extensive
testing ourselves with various baits and pellets. Our range has always
come out on top.
This claim is also backed up from the Carpology tank test where
our range scored top marks possible (still the only company to achieve
this)c |

  Winter
Result.
Lee Barter has been trickling the Atlantic Heat into his
undisclosed South west venue for a couple of weeks now. With the onset
of cold weather looming, Lee dropped in on his pre-baited patch for a
short session.
Fish of 23, 25 and this 30lb+ mirror were landed by Lee.
Winterised Atlantic Heat 15 and 18mms coming through in the cold
weather.
Top result Lee... |

Another
mid 30 for Rob.
What a season Rob Morris is having, every email he sends is another mid
30!!!
This 35.12 common the latest of a string of big fish this year. With a
full time job and family, Rob only gets to dangle one night a week (if
that).
A top result to the ever faithful Atlantic Heat.
Nice one Rob. |

PB
for Martyn
Martyn Rosier slipped his net under this 32.04 lb common this week.
Fishing an undisclosed South West venue, Martyn introduced 2kg
of Atlantic heat to a feature at 40 yards....6 hours later, job done! |

Repeat
perfection.
It seems that the Atlantic Heat just carries on catching! I must
admit that I smile to myself every time someone says that this bait has
had its day. As I have said from day one, Atlantic Heat is a total
food source and will never blow or stop working.
The latest result pictured here is testament to what my baits are all
about.
Shaun Matthews sent in this pic of a familiar face to this page. The big
Lin, in all her glory at 35.10. Now this is the 5th time this fish has
fallen to the Atlantic Heat in less that 15 months! Again, this bait has
dominated the particular club water.
From a simple calculation, somewhere in the region of 1000-1500kg
have been fed into the water this year!!
Top result Shaun, great result and a proper old warrior. |

More
to the Prototype.
Tom Pollard cant get enough of our new prototype bait at the mo.
Fishing on a variety of waters Tom has caught everywhere!
His recent capture of this 36.12 common was the highlight of a 3
day stay at a busy club water.
I was told the big common was excreting large amounts of the new mix on
to Tom's mat!!!!
He also added fish of 26, 25, 22 and 12lb.
Great shooting mate...Another 10kg then... |

Making
the switch
Roger Williams sent us through a pic of the 33lb mirror on his
second session using the Atlantic Heat. Rodger has been fishing on and
off on one of the more tricky venues up here on the park.
Great result Roger....Welcome to Baitworks! |

the base of a marginal slope.
Good angling Nick. |

Long
Summer
With the nights drawing in and the first frost imminent it's now
time for myself to start treading the banks, tackle in hand looking for
some likely carp to angle for. Fishing this year has had to take a
back seat for the time being for the sake of pushing the business.
I have managed to angle this season and catch a few but due to publicity
shy venues it would appear on the news page that I haven't caught
anything!
The fish pictured was a welcome back to nights spent under the Brollie
and being awoken at 11pm with a screaming take! Oh how I've missed it!
33.04 of proper character graced my net this week and caught on a
new prototype bait to boot! First overnighter on the water! In fact,
Tom Pollard was also using the bait in question for the first time at
the lake and managed to land one of the biggest commons at 36lb+.
Luck? Well certainly luck does play a part but its uncanny that out
of 200 fish that reside in the lake we pick out the better fish with
this new bait, its happened too many times now in testing to be a
coincidence.
Watch this space for further updates on a couple of
interesting prototypes that we are trailing... |

 Another
for Rob.
Fishing the Atlantic Heat 20mms has paid dividends for Rob Morris this
season.
This 31+ is the latest in a string of big fish.
Top angling mate.
I dont think Rob catches anything under 30lb these days! Testament to
the big fish qualities of the Atlantic Heat.
Well done Rob. |

Simon
Scott
Simon managed to squeeze in a couple of days fishing on a big
Southern venue. Fishing with partner Sue, Simon landed the biggest fish
(34lb+) of a 19 carp haul by the pair. I lost count of how many 20's and
30's but it was quite a few!
A mixture of Atlantic Heat and Monster Red 18mms fished at 50-70
yards range had the big pit fish stopping in their tracks.
Nice one Simon. |

 Move
complete.
Baitworks have now moved to a new purpose built unit just out side
the Water Park, Cirencester.
With the ongoing demand and ever increasing product range, the new
premise not only gives us the stability but also gives us much needed
room to start stocking other key products.
Pellets are first on our list and judging by the results on the samples
we are already off to a flyer......watch this space.
Thank you to all who has lent a hand in one way or other,
Electrics, plumbing etc, you know who you are. Thanks again.

Neil's
Cracker
What a fish! 37lb of long classic carp.
Neil dropped me a text to pop out and take some shots of this fish that
has taken a likening for the Atlantic Heat. Fishing at short range the
big girl picked up a 18mm heat presented as a bottom bait.
Fantastic fish, she also shares the same name as a well known slip
on shoe?
That will get you thinking!!
Great result Neil. |

Dave
Ellyatt
Fishing on a private estate lake David set about introducing 5kg
of Atlantic Heat for his two night stay. First morning and this one
rolls up, 37lb+!!
Known as the biggest mirror in the lake! David used the same bait
last year on his first session with the heat, result....biggest common
in the lake at 30+!!
So there we have it, two sessions and the two biggest fish in the lake
caught.
Job done.
Nice one Dave. |

Prototype
Gary King has been putting our new bait through its paces as of late.
Fishing over at Horseshoe Lake, Lechlade, Gary enjoyed 9 fish on an
overnight session up to 26lb! He then used the bait on lake 61 for the
first time and was rewarded with this cracking 35.10 lb common!
The bait had only been in the pond for 2 hours!!
The bait in question is one myself and Mr Scott have been working on
this year.
We are still putting the finishing touches to it, but it seems destined
to catch a lot of fish.
Great result Gary. |

Westhamplet
Syndicate.
Adam Kracke has been using a mixture of Atlantic Heat and Monster
Red over at his syndicate lake. This combo has accounted for 29 fish
so far this season with 9 over 25+ and two mid thirty's - 36.8 and
37.5 (pictured).
A great season for the water mentioned.
Good angling Adam. |

on Fire!
What a season this guy is having! Top rod on the water in
question, Giles has put his faith in the mighty Atlantic Heat 24mms for
the year.
Fishing a couple of nights a week Giles has caught steadily through out
the season.
These two were caught in the early hours. 33lb common and a 34lb mirror.
Great shots of them by the way, must have had a talented camera man! |

SIMON
SCOTT JOINS BAITWORKS
Baitworks are delighted to announce that Simon Scott has
joined as a consultant.
Simon brings a vast amount of knowledge from the
fisheries and aquatics
industry, as well as a carp-fishing pedigree that’s
second to none, all of which will prove integral to
future bait development.
Simon
met Baitworks owner Mark Bryant just over two years ago,
when the boilie range was put through tank tests at
Sparsholt College. Simon tested a variety of the boilies
currently on the market, in a series of controlled tank
tests. These independent tests put Baitworks in the
number-one position and, since then, they have remained
top in all categories. Simon was so impressed by the
performance of the Baitworks range that he started using
the bait for his own fishing and has since landed
several big carp to 49lb.
Baitworks are already talking about a third addition to
the boilie range and, with Simon’s contacts and
background, the new product promises to be a little bit
special.
Mark Bryant said “We
produce quality bait for quality anglers, no hype, and
no hard sell. The captures and the calibre of anglers
using our bait says it all and Simon’s appointment is
testament to what Baitworks set out to achieve”. |

 Sue's
Stunners.
Both Simon and Sue Scott has been out fishing a large southern venue
last week.
The pair pre-baited with a mixture of Monster Red and Atlantic Heat
20mms over a two week period prior to angling. Fishing for just a couple
of nights the two notched up a tally of 14 fish landed with Sue landing
these beauties on the last morning.
Great result Sue. |

2008
British Young Carpers Angling Championship
Young Jake Taylor (14) made it to the final of the 2008 British Young Carpers
Angling Championship again for the second year running.
Unfortunately
Jake didn't have a favourable draw but managed to still come in 9th out
of 40 anglers! The talented youngster also scooped the award for the
biggest fish on the day with this 26.04 fish!
Top shooting.
Jake was trying out some of our new pellets and a rather special liquid
that we are keeping under our hats for the time being! One to watch,
that's for sure....Jake and his Father even travelled 60miles round trip
just have some for the final.
Confidence in a bottle! |

Short
session Hauling.
James Hennessy has been keeping our bait under his hat for the last
3 months and for good reason! Fishing in the Oxford area, James
has enjoyed constant action when ever he has dipped our Atlantic Heat
in the pond!
Two
overnight sessions produced his latest tally of fish....24 in total
including 2 x 30's (pictured 32 and 30) and 7 x 20s to 29lb!!!
Again Atlantic Heat 18mms the bait of the moment.
Good bit of angling mate!
Would like to know here he's fishing....Will have to ply him with
beer me thinks!! |

 Unstoppable.
Mr Rose has been out again. Fishing down at Rockford, John and the Heat
are literally turning the place over.....20 fish out on his last
two visits, now another 8 fish since then has graced his net!
38, 32, 30 plus 5 more twenty's!
Large amounts of Atlantic Heat 18mms again scoring for the Welsh wizard.
Top result Mate!!! |

Another
to the Heat
Steve Pullee is having a dream season on the Atlantic Heat.
Fishing on a Oxford Syndicate water, Paul has accounted for the biggest
mirror in the lake on his last session at 45lb, and now the biggest
common in the lake at 39.08!!!
Steve is another angler who doesn't get much time out on the bank,
so when he does he has to make it count. Steve's first choice was
Atlantic Heat and now he uses nothing else!
Fishing a quiet corner of the lake and introducing Atlantic
Heat 15-18mms, soon had the fish rooting around. Steve lowered the bait
in after two hours feeding, for the inevitable to happen......5 mins
later
the biggest common in the lake is laying in his net.
Great result Steve, top stalking. |

PB
Common for Claire.
The Girlfriend managed to nip out for an evening stalking while I
was slaving away cooking tea (cough, cough!).
20 minutes was all that was needed before Claire's rod was bent double
and a new PB common was landed.
Our new A-stim pellets were fed onto a margin shelf until the fish were
feeding then Claire skilfully lowered one of our perfect pellet hook
baits onto the hot spot.
Job done! Nice one Honey, teas ready! |

Welcome
return
Sometimes lakes do pay their dues! Hats off to Ben who travels a hour or
so just for a short overnight sessions this season. Fishing on a very
pressured water Ben endured a string of fruitless sessions at the start
of the spring.
With a 3 month break Ben returned to put the record straight
and achieved it in style with this 38.8 lake record common! Fishing
at short range Ben flicked some broken Atlantic Heat boilies up against
a weed bed.
Only 20 minutes later the rod is off and Ben is doing battle with the
best looking common in the lake.....
Top angling Ben, just rewards. |

Rockford
Rocked!!
Our very own John Rose has made a return to the banks. The
talented Welsh man with the Midas touch fished down at the mighty
Rockford for a couple of 5 night stays. Armed with the Atlantic Heat
John set about introducing 3kg mix of 18, 20 and 24mms over his two
separate 5 day sessions .
To our knowledge this was the first time the Atlantic Heat was used
on Rockford (you may remember the Monster Red catching one of
the biggest fish in that pond last year to Chris Currie- again 1st time
it was used on the lake ).
I lost count of the amount John caught in two sessions!! Lucky he sent
over the stats for me....
10
nights fishing, 20 carp landed! Five 30's to 34.12, 12 x 20lb+ to 29.12
and 3 upper doubles!!!
Considering most anglers down there would view 6-8 fish a season good
result we thought that John and the bait did very well!!
Top Angling John......The Welsh Wizard returns....We hope that
John stays with us and is not tempted back to the bright lights of
Cardiff city centre, we hadn't seen him for last 8 months!! |

Mike
Holly from Bristol dropped us an e-mail with a couple of fish from his
Oxford syndicate water. The Bristol rod who is no stranger to this page
fished his usual overnight session (when he can get out of house hold
chores!).
Mike managed a couple of overnighters and was rewarded with
these crackers of 33 and 32lb.
Atlantic Heat and our new A-stim pellets doing the business.
Nice one Mike. |

 Rinsing
it!
Dave Bodman and Steve Chapman are having an unbelievable season on their
chosen Hampshire syndicate water. Since opening night on the 16th of
June, Steve and Dave have landed 60 fish out of the 180 stock!
You may remember that Dave had a bumper session last week on
the Atlantic Heat landing 15 fish to mid 30. Well, Steve Chapman
managed to have 34 takes with 28 fish landed!! Wow.
|
Stats as follows. |
6 x 30+ (35.8) |
9 x 20lb |
13 x upper
doubles. |
Once more the lads
returned for a weekend session and landed another 12 fish between them!
Big beds of Atlantic Heat 18mms doing the trick.
At this rate these boys will be running out of fish to catch!
Steve is pictured with 2 of the 30's from his session.
Top angling guys. |

Father
and son pair Greg and Jake (14) Taylor made a clean sweep at the
Nickolls leisure charity match last weekend. They not only landed the
most fish but Jake took the biggest fish of the event on the
ever faithful Atlantic Heat 15mms.
The pair fished pellets and Boilies at varying ranges to romp home in
first place.
Well done boys, great result. |

 Dave
Bodman from Wiltshire
sent us this
e-mail regarding a mega result on his syndicate water in Hampshire.
"Hi Mark,
I have been pre - baiting with the Heat along with my buddy
Steve Chapman since March and this weekend it all came together. I
fished for 36 hrs in total and in the 1st 24hrs from Friday evening I
had 18 runs, landing 15 fish including 2 x 30's from the A-Team. The
Vein @ 36.10 (spawned out) and Baby Nokia 32.08 (spawned out). Other
fish included 8 x 20+ fish including a 29, 28, 27 along with
a few high doubles!
What a result, What a Bait.
I've attached pic's of the 36.10 and 32.08.
Regards
Dave." |
