In this video, Baitworks founder Mark introduces S-Creamer Compound, a concentrated cream powder built from the same ingredients that made the CreAmino boilie so effective. Relentless action on the bank

The action has been absolutely relentless today. The rods are still out at the moment, but there’s a little lull in the action, so I wanted to take this opportunity to talk to you about the new product in the Baitworks range, which is S-Creamer.

Why we created S-Creamer

The reason for this product coming into the Baitworks range is very simple. When I was developing the CreAmino boilie three or four years ago, I had access to lots of powders, liquids and extracts, you name it. Some of these just stood head and shoulders above the rest.

Some of those powders found their way into the CreAmino boilie, as you’d expect. But I always knew they could be isolated, blended and brought out as a standalone concentrated powder.

A versatile powder for boilies, spod mixes and bag mixes

In the current trend of adding lots of powders and liquids to your bait, and for very good reason, it catches loads of carp, this powder lends itself perfectly to that application. It also works for spod mixes and bag mixes, so it’s a versatile powder that can be used across a whole host of applications.

What goes into S-Creamer

S-Creamer is made up of dairy products, yeast extracts and a beautiful cream palatant. As soon as you open the tub, you get a gorgeous cream aroma that, for me, just screams carp.

How S-Creamer forms a protective crust around your bait

One of the key components of this powder shows itself when you add it to bait, particularly freebait. If you add a food liquid or an oil first and then coat with the powder, on contact with that liquid the powder forms a crust, almost like a gel, and encapsulates the bait. That’s very important.

When that bait goes out into the water, whether you’re spamming it out or catapulting, it makes it all the way down to the bottom of the lake. It doesn’t dissolve two feet into the water, disperse and leave a cloud in the upper layers. Everything goes down to the bottom, and then there’s a slow release, creating a halo, a big cloud of attraction around your bait area. Really important.

Fish number ten and counting

Well, it’s been thick and fast today. I think this is fish number ten. I can’t keep a rod in the water. As fast as I’m making up the bait and putting the powders on, the rod’s ripping off. What a lovely day.

How to apply S-Creamer to your bait

That’s how I’ve been using the product today. Last night I coated up some of the freebaits with the dip and the oil, added generous amounts of the powder so it clung to the bait, and it started to form that crust or gel. Leaving it overnight gives it a chance to harden up a little more.

For boilies, if you take a kilo, I’d add 50ml of oil and 50ml of a food-based dip such as the CreAmino Dip/Glug/Soak. Put it into a bag or a bucket, give it a good shake so everything’s nicely coated, then start adding the S-Creamer powder. Add just enough to coat everything, and that’s when you get that nice crust forming around the bait.

You can build up as many layers as you want with this. There are no synthetic products in there, so you can’t overload it. By adding more powder, then more liquid, then powder, then liquid, you build up layers to make an ultra-attractive bait that, importantly, gets down to the bottom of the lake as it descends through the water. Really important.

Tried and tested on the bank

S-Creamer didn’t actually need a whole lot of testing. That was already done way back when we developed the CreAmino boilie, so I knew these powders would stand alone and be ultra-attractive. But like anything, it’s good to give it a road test and get out on the bank with it for that final application.

We’ve been doing that this winter. I’ve been fishing a multitude of lakes and had fantastic results coating the baits as I’ve talked about, with bites coming from a whole plethora of different waters. Today we’ve had loads of fish.
